Temparature Environmental Test Chamber - CO2 Refrigerant

With the continuous improvement of global environmental standards, SANWOOD has taken the lead in launching a series of environmental test chambers using carbon dioxide (R744) as a refrigerant. CO₂ refrigerant has the environmentally friendly characteristic of a global warming potential (GWP) of <1, which fully meets the testing requirements for future sustainable development and is an ideal choice to replace traditional high GWP value refrigerants.

Exceptional performance, stable at low temperatures down to -40°C

SANWOOD's CO₂ refrigeration system boasts exceptional cooling capabilities, maintaining stable operation even at temperatures as low as -40°C and meeting numerous stringent testing standards, including IEC 60068-2.

Compared to traditional single-stage or cascade refrigeration systems, the CO₂ system is more efficient over the same low-temperature range and requires no modifications to existing infrastructure, significantly reducing initial investment and long-term operating costs for users.

Energy saving and noise reduction create an ideal testing environment

In terms of energy efficiency, the CO₂ test chamber performs exceptionally well. When performing gradient tests over a wide temperature range of -40°C to +120°C, energy consumption can be reduced by up to 30% compared to traditional cascade systems.

At the same time, the system operates at a noise level below 50 decibels, creating a quieter working environment than a typical office and effectively improving laboratory comfort.

Flexible response to various complex testing scenarios

We fully understand the specific needs of different industries for testing environments, and have developed a variety of customized solutions for this purpose:

  • Lithium battery safety testing: Integrates the EUCAR standard safety system, supporting battery testing requirements up to hazard level 7.

  • Explosion-proof and flammable environments (ATEX): Providing professional risk assessments and corresponding safety solutions for testing involving flammable substances.

  • Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Protection and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC): The test chamber can be configured with an electrostatic dissipation structure and an electromagnetic shielding system to ensure the accuracy and safety of testing sensitive components.

  • Corrosive gas testing: Applicable to reliability verification of PCBs, connectors, etc. in environments containing corrosive gases.
